As part of its commitment to environmental sustainability and community empowerment, PT ORIX Indonesia Finance (ORIF) successfully carried out the Waste Clean Up and Educatree program at the Situ Gintung Dam in South Tangerang on December 18, 2025. Under the theme “ORIX Green Impact: Caring for Waste, Sustainable Environment”, this activity aimed to clean up the dam area from plastic waste and other debris that could cause congestion around the Situ Gintung Dam.

 

This Waste Clean-up activity was carried out in collaboration with the environmental organization ‘LindungiHutan’, which focuses on environmental conservation.

 

More than 30 volunteers from ORIF employees, including Mr. Causa Iman Karana as Vice President Director and Mr. Yukio Minagawa as Director of ORIF participated in this activity, working together to collect and sort waste to ensure that the cleaning and recycling process could run effectively.

 

This waste cleanup initiative was also supported by a collaboration with Kertabumi, which played a role in the transportation and management of waste. This collaboration ensured that waste was not only collected but also managed responsibly. Various types of waste were successfully collected, ranging from plastic waste to other non-organic waste, with a total of 37.9 kg of waste transported.

 

In addition to waste cleanup activities, the company also held Educatree Waste Management for the community around the Situ Gintung Dam. This training was attended by local residents and aimed to raise awareness of the importance of proper waste management and provide practical solutions for handling household waste.

 

This program is expected to be the first step in creating a cleaner and healthier environment in the Situ Gintung Dam area. This activity also includes the implementation of Educatree Waste Management for the surrounding community as an effort to raise awareness of waste management. With the commitment and collaboration between the company and the community, it is hoped that the cleanliness and sustainability of the Situ Gintung Dam environment can be maintained in a sustainable manner.
